Polish Hungarian Day Celebrations in Adelaide
23 March has been declared by Hungarian and Polish Parliaments Polish Hungarian Friendship Day and is commemorated in many was through Poland, Hungary and around the world. In Adelaide the Polish and Hungarian communities traditionally organise a day of remembrance combined with festivities, lunch, song, dance and exhibition at the Hungarian Club. Present were Hon Consuls for Poland and Hungary as well as representatives of the South Australian Government including the Minister for Multicultural Affairs Zoe Bettison, who laid wreaths at the remembrance monument.
Mrs Hill delivered the official message from he Polish Government with a historical overview of the long lasting relations and the strategic, political and cultural alliances as well as people to people solidarity .
