Mandatory self -isolation announcement
Prime Minister’s announcement on 27 March regarding mandatory self-isolation in designated facilities for all travellers returning to Australia, came into effect at midnight last night. The media statement regarding these measures can be found at https://www.pm.gov.au/media/update-coronavirus-measures-270320
Please be aware that the South Australian government’s policy of mandatory self-isolation (in the home) for all people entering the state still applies for travellers that have self-isolated in other parts of the country previously. This requirement is detailed in the attached SAPOL Direction.
As such, those returning from overseas who are bound for South Australia are required to spend 14 days in self-isolation in a designated facility in the city of arrival, followed by 14 days in self-isolation in the home once they arrive in South Australia.
